Use this helpful tool to calculate the dose for your patients receiving NOCITA® (bupivacaine liposome injectable suspension) for long-acting post-op pain control following cranial cruciate ligament surgery in dogs or feline onychectomy.

Administer 5.3 mg/kg (0.4 mL/kg) by tissue infiltration during incisional closure to provide postoperative analgesia following cranial cruciate ligament surgery in dogs.

Add the above results to create a list of patients and their dose volumes for prepping doses.

Dog Dose Preparation:
  • Puncture vial cap only once
  • Can be volume expanded up to 1:1 with sterile saline or Lactated Ringer's Solution (LRS)
  • Following withdrawal from the vial, syringes must be discarded after 4 hours
